Educational Grants
One of the problems facing our schools' youth in our county is that there is not a lot for them to do. In grade school they have access to tee ball, little league baseball, soccer, and 4-H. Once they reach middle and high school there just aren't many activities for them outside of school.
The board has set aside $5000 per year. We encourage teens to look for new projects. They can then apply for grants between $500 and $1000 each. The young adults must follow the VSCF grant process and use the forms. They must then make their proposals in front of the board for approval.
